Why do youth engage in sexting?
Of those teens who say they’ve sent images or suggestive message, the majority of them sent the content to a boyfriend or girlfriend
Why do teens and young adults send or post sexually suggestive content?
- 51% of teen girls say pressure from a guy
- Only 18% of teen boys cited pressure from a girl
- 23% of teen girls and 24% of teen boys say pressure from friends
